Exeter and District Mencap Society

The Society is a Registered Charity affiliated to Royal Mencap. The aim of our society is to support families in Exeter and district who have a child or adult with a learning disability. We continue to campaign to improve services and raise awareness of the needs of local people with a learning disability.

The Committee meets bi-monthly, except August and actively supports:

1. Exeter Gateway Centre This provides activities and facilities for adults with a range of learning disabilities. Meet Monday to Friday from 10am – 3pm.
2. The Play Park Inclusive play park situated in the King George V playing Fields off Topsham Road, Exeter. The majority of the equipment is wheelchair accessible and is large enough for adults to use.
